Christmas Shoes

Mary, here. Happy Holidays to you all.

The Christmas season has always been one of my favorite times of the year. The decorating, baking, parties, shopping, giving gifts, great food, and of course family. As a musician, one of my favorite parts is listening to Christmas carols on the radio.

Donate Your Unwanted Gifts!

Do you ever receive those gifts that are nice, but you just don't have a use for them? Or you already have one too many, and you think to yourself, "Well, this will be nice to re-gift to someone."

Why not donate it to the Holleger Kids fundraising efforts for our Race for the Cure?

We are looking for items that are new and in their original packaging (and some gently used items are OK too) to auction off for our fundraising efforts. Some ideas of donations are as follows:
-bath sets
-non perishable food items
-jewelry and accessories
-home decor
-unwanted gift cards
-candles
-and more!

As you celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah this year, please consider donating an unwanted gift to our cause. We will gladly pick up these gifts in person if possible. Or you can mail them to the following addresses:

Inflammatory Breast Cancer

"I know my mom wanted all her friends, and all women everywhere, to know about the signs and symptoms of inflammatory breast cancer."
You may or may not know that there are many types of breast cancer, some more rare than others, and some infinitely harder to detect than others. Self examination and regular mammograms catch many types of breast cancer early, so its important to get checked out. But even if you think you have a minor breast infection, you must insist that your doctor screen you for cancer, because otherwise it may be too late once they finally catch it.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Holleger Kids want to increase not only awareness, but also donations towards breast cancer research. During the month of October, we have each written a short blog post in memory of our mom, which you can find below. We hope that you are touched as you read these posts, and that you will take a moment to donate to our Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure team.
